The Bachelorette

Can we take a moment and talk about this season for a minute? Sure why not.

I really like Andi. She is pretty down to earth, seems like she has a good head on her shoulders and even though she acts (they all do) I think she is taking this pretty seriously, way more seriously than Juan Pablo. I am loving this season. The guys are great. I am totally rooting for Nick, he is adorable and just totally smitten with Andi. I also like Josh, the more I hear of him the more he grows on me, I also like that he stood up for his stereotype and told her there is more to him then he thinks.

So far the drama has been minimal on this season. JJ and Josh confronted Andrew and asked him about the phone number he got at the restaurant last week or sometime previously. I thought that was contrived by the producers, they were probably talking about it to JJ and got him heated up so he would go talk to Josh about it. Apparently there is drama going on with Eric as well tonight, which is what they keep filming as "the most dramatic season ever". Chris Harrison needs new lines, ABC can you work on that?

Finally check out reality steve's site if you want more deets on Andi's season and the official episode by episode breakdown that he gives you.

Last bit of ABC news I want to talk about has to deal with OUAT (Once Upon A Time). My favorite show, although I am kind of mad at the writers for the ending of Season 3. It will be interesting to watch how relationships change, etc as the season  progresses. If you are a Lost fan, the parallels between LOST and OUAT are obvious, and you can tell it was written by the same producers. In LOST they spent forever in certain aspects of the show, like when they found Desmond and the hutch... how many episodes did they have to spend in that hole? Same thing happens on OUAT, especially with Neverland. Neverland went on forever. So two things to talk about with this show that I love.

1. Snow White and Prince Charming are together in real life (Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas). When this happens and some of my favorite TV characters are together in real life I get so happy about it. I don't know why but I just love love!

They are so perfect. I just love it.

2. The last thing I want to talk about is this:

I literally screamed out loud. I can't wait to see what happens in season 4! I hope they bring in Rapunzel at some point, and Merida from Brave. They have so many options to go off of. But I am curious to see who Elsa will be in the TV series and if Anna will be included. I don't know if they would add another rival to Regina, but they could make Elsa more the evil role I believe she was intended to be. So many questions, I can't wait for September when the new season comes out.

I have a goal to post every day this week. So lets hope I keep this goal. Here's to posting on Monday! I am also in the process of redesigning my theme, blog, and even blog name. I feel like this brand I have now isn't really me. I am working on something, by myself no help in the process, so I will let you know how it goes. I want something simple, streamlined and more me. This is turning into a fun hobby and I really enjoy sharing my thoughts online.

Well until next time.

SPRING

I feel like Spring is almost here! It makes me so excited and I really can't wait. The weather has been super warm, I mean for Utah and I guess the rest of the country since everyone back east is still having ice storms. Some days it has been 60 degrees, it has been so lovely. Next week is Spring Break and although I have a busy workload so I don't drown in school work come April, I will still be trying to have some fun. We were going to go to St. George, but since we were just down there I think we will stay at home. I want to get out and see some things, explore,  and possibly go on a couple of hikes. Hikes are great this time of year and beautiful.
A few things changed at my job, I'm still doing the same thing I just got switched to another floor along with the majority of the sales guys at my old floor. That has been fun, work is closer to home now so I like that.
Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor is almost over, thank goodness. I have only watched a few episodes but after a while I got so bored with him. He was a little all over the place this season and I didn't understand how he came up with the "rules" that he did.  I am glad it's almost over and The Bachelorette will be on soon.
Also ABC released the cast list for Dancing With The Stars. I cannot wait to see Drew Carey on the show. That is going to be epic, and I most likely will talk about it a few times here on the good old blog. ;)
I have a few projects I am working on, including re-decorating our laundry room, organizing our master bedroom closet, and re-vamping my home office. They are all in the making, so it might take a while to actually get them posted and up and running on the blog.
I know posting has been all over the place lately, I swear once school is out I will have a normal posting schedule (maybe)...
Happy Hump Day

Why I like the bachelor...

Most of the time I really don't know why I like this show. Seriously. I watch it and I just think, its so fake, I mean really why am I wasting an hour of my time watching it. But I watch it anyway and I figured out, finally, why I like it so much.
Also it really is fake, if you keep up on bachelor media outside of the show both Lauren H and Kylie (the one who thought her name was being called when it was really Kat) spoke out about how the producers manipulated them and in Lauren's case, edited the conversation to the point that it wasn't what had really happened at all. You can listen to what their comments were and then some back story from Jason and Molly Mesnick (former bachelor and his wife) on this podcast. It is really interesting information. Also you can read reality steve's blog. He comments every week on the bachelor and gives spoilers for the whole season (so yes I already know who Juan Pablo picks in the end). Only go to his site if you want extra details on the bachelor, if you want to keep who JP picks in the end a surprise then don't go to that link. I have warned you.
The reasons why I like the bachelor:

1) The dates. Although the dates are extremely outlandish and something that normal people wouldn't be able to afford (in most cases), I think they are fun and usually give me ideas on what to do with my husband. For instance Clare's 1 on 1 date in the first episode is a date that can easily be accomplished in Utah. Sledding and then hot tubing, with a romantic dinner. Easy to do, if you can find a hot tub. Zack and I don't really do a whole lot when it comes to dates so its fun to watch the show and get ideas. Kat's 1 on 1 date from that episode is also something we can do, they did the electric run at Thanksgiving Point. Zack and I met at Thanksgiving Point so it would be sentimental to have a date there. Some of the dates, like bungee jumping off a bridge, or building is something I would never do so recreating those dates in our love life is out of the question. I think it is fun to get out of the apartment every once and a while and go on a real date with Zack, we love adventure and trying new things so the bachelor gives me lots of ideas to try.

2) The process. Most people think its ridiculous to fall in love in twelve weeks and get engaged at the end of it but Zack and I did it and I know plenty of people who have been engaged in an even shorter amount of time. In the right circumstances and setting you could easily fall in love and find the person you want to marry in just 12 weeks. Zack and I started dating in November, by January 21 (yesterday was our two year anniversary of when he proposed) he popped the question. On April 27th we were married. It worked out great for us, and I'm not saying it will work out this way for everyone, but I believe it could work.

3) Bachelor couples. I love following the couples who actually made it from the show. Jason and Molly, Ashley and JP, Sean and Catherine, Des and Chris, Trista and Ryan. I just love following all of them and their success as couples. Sometimes the show works, you never know what can happen.

4) The girls. I like to follow the girls after the bachelor. This is where you can really tell what is going on with the show and that most of them are just there for the tv spotlight. I also still can't believe that we are getting girls who are crying over the process, after 25 seasons you would think these girls know what they are getting themselves into by now. Every season we have someone complain about the process saying its so hard, and I don't think I can do this. Really they should know what is going to happen and they should prepare themselves before they head out.

Well there you have it, the reasons that I still like to watch The Bachelor. Even though I know its fake, and manipulated I think that it can still work, and I hope Juan Pablo and find the girl he is looking for. Unfortunately, in my opinion, I believe he is only there for the spotlight and will most likely break up with the girl he chooses quickly after the show airs. Hopefully I am wrong, we shall see.
Anyway, hope you had fun watching the bachelor last night and will tune in for Sean and Catherine's wedding on Sunday. Should be good entertainment. Happy Juanuary...
