St. George Trip

Every once in a while I think everyone needs a vacation! Zack and I just got back from St. George last night and it was such a fun weekend getaway that was much needed. Having a baby on vacation can make things a little hard, especially because Claire is going through a growth spurt right now so she seems to be extra fussy these last few days. Trying to manage everyone wanting to spend time with the baby and keeping her on her normal schedule/ routine can get difficult.
We left on Friday around 6:30 pm and Claire actually slept most of the way down. Her bedtime is normally 8:00 so she fell asleep around 7:15 and still slept through the night. That is my number one piece of advice when traveling with a baby is to try and travel around their schedule. We tried to leave on Sunday during her afternoon nap but couldn't and she was really fussy in the car ride home, which makes things hard.
Anyway we got to the house we stayed at around 10:30 at night and just went straight to bed, Zack hung out with his brothers that night and then came to bed around midnight, I can't stay up that late anymore. The next morning Zack, Ashlee, John, and his dad went shooting and I stayed back with his mom and Claire. Claire slept and then played a little bit. Once they were all done shooting I went to pick up lunch for Zack and I at Panda Express, and also went to staples because they carry Erin Condren supplies and I picked up a new planner for 2016 on sale for $23.00. It was a killer deal so I am glad I went, and I got the cutest cover for it as well. Later that night we went to the Sweet Family Christmas party and Claire got to meet Santa for the first time. She didn't even cry or freak out, but she's still little so she doesn't get too scared. Santa said she wanted bottles and diapers for Christmas, so we'll have to see if that's what she gets.
On Sunday we went to Zack's cousin Brad's mission farewell talk and he did such a great job! I really liked what he had to say and it seems like he really took the time to spiritually prepare himself. He's going to Argentina which is exciting.
Both Zack and I served missions, I served in Ventura, California and Zack served in the Cherry Hill, New Jersey mission. Missions are great and was one of the best times of my life.
After church we went to Brad's house and then we went back home and cleaned and packed up and left. It was great to have a nice relaxing weekend with family, even if we all get on each others nerves sometimes we still love each other because that's family.
